Ned Claybrook (a pseudonym) is a graduate of the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point. He served in the U.S. Army after graduation, and reached the rank of Captain. After completing his service obligation, he took a position at a Fortune 500 company and successfully managed there for 11 years, gaining experience in fleet maintenance, logistics, manufacturing, and purchasing.
Realizing that the socially woke culture of a global corporation is a dreary prison for conservative white males, he left the corporate ladder to start a career as a financial advisor. He has never regretted the transition. Claybrook currently owns his own business and focuses on helping people achieve the American Dream of financial independence. In his free time, he follows politics avidly and strongly advocates for “Constitutional conservativism with a libertarian bent.”

“I know one thing for sure, “Janet said with conviction and near vehemence, “I will NOT be voting for any Republicans”!! Her sentiments were surprising for a few reasons. First, I had never heard her talk about politics before that moment. Second, she was talking to my wife as the three of us walked around our neighborhood, and we never talked about anything but kids, houses and local gossip. Third, she was married to a high-level auto executive. Fourth, she was generally a soft spoken, quite charming lady with no axe to grind, so it seemed out of character for her to be so intense. Intrigued, I asked her why she had a problem with the GOP.
TDS: The Silent Killer of Common Sense
Ned Claybrook 6/12/2021 10:01 AM
When I first heard the phrase, Trump Derangement Syndrome (aka TDS) about 4 years ago, it made me chuckle because I had had enough crazy interactions with anti-Trump liberals that it seemed appropriate and descriptive of a certain portion of the leftwing population. It was only when I realized that it was afflicting a fair number of nominally conservative friends and acquaintances that I concluded it was an actual mental disturbance.
What Price Freedom; The Question Every American Needs to Answer

The receptionist enthusiastically endorsed the warm weather and commented that she had been camping out with her daughter in the Boy Scouts just three weeks prior and the temperature overnight dropped to 25 degrees. Being obtuse about the extent to which “woke” culture has warped America, I asked her if she was a leader of the Boy Scout troop. The receptionist said she was, “kind of.”
Remembering the Living

Now that we have given those folks their due, and will do so every year on Memorial Day, it is time to consider what we owe and what we can do for the living who have also sacrificed for the same reasons. Those men and women were just as willing to put their lives on the line, and although they came home, their suffering has not ended, and in many cases, they are not getting the care or compensation they deserve.
How About American-American Month?
Ned Claybrook 5/29/2021 10:04 AM
Hey, Everybody!! It is Asian-American Pacific Islander month in the good old USA. I am not sure what we are all supposed to do about that, but I am certain the media will let us know. It can be confusing though.
What's In A Name?

For years I thought the left wing of this country took over large swaths of America because conservatives were too busy to get involved in debates over school policy, public policing, border control, sanctuary cities, LBGTQ favoritism, etc. Good conservatives were busy raising families, paying taxes, working hard at their jobs, and volunteering in their community, to devote hours every week to arguing about school curricula, or race-based quotas, or banning traditional values from schools and the public square. Wrong! A lot of conservatives saw exactly what was happening but deceived themselves into thinking it was no big deal. It is not that they were not warned, they were just either too obtuse, too arrogant, or too naïve to see what it was all leading to, or they were never conservatives at all.
Justice Is Blind

Once upon a time, in a galaxy far, far away, the Democrat party believed in equal justice. Back then, the federal government was seen as the last bastion of freedom against racially biased state governments who were clearly abusing American citizens based on their race. My, how times have changed. Now the Democrat party is leading the charge to abuse Americans based on their lawful political beliefs, and the federal government law enforcement apparatus is the weapon they are using to do it.
The Sedition of Joe Biden

As the conflict between Hamas and Israel intensifies and threatens to widen into a regional war, Americans are treated to the sorry spectacle of our senile, compromised, and totally incompetent President demanding that one of our closest and most important allies stop defending itself. Given that Biden recently promised billions of dollars in aid to Iran and Hamas, his actions combined with his words are a total betrayal of Israel, and amount to an act of war. If Biden is trying to undermine US foreign policy interests, he could not do a better job. His words today were as disgusting as they were pathetic. Worse, a lot of Democrats supported his comments. He is under the sway of socialist, anti-American, racists and anti-Semites. What is amazing is that so many Americans think that is a good thing, including many Jewish Americans. America is truly in peril while Biden remains President.
Disproportionate Violence is How You Win Wars.

When I was asked by a friend to write articles for his website, I was flattered, but at the same time a bit concerned. It is one thing to engage in intellectual combat with random addled Biden voters, racist BLM demagogues, or pandering Democrat apologists for white sin, but writing essays and thinking that folks would read them seemed a stretch. However, I respect my friend and the project seemed worthwhile, so I agreed to contribute. Commitment made, the worry over where to get ideas for commentaries on a regular basis immediately set in. Where do authors get their topics every week?
The Price of Virtue

Last week, another American city threw in the towel on keeping public order. One might have thought that Rudy Giuliani and other proponents of the “broken windows” theory of law enforcement had decades ago won the debate over whether it was worthwhile to take minor crimes seriously. The theory was applied in a decadent and crime ridden NYC in the 1990s and worked dramatically. Subsequent implementations in various cities in the US also proved its worth. Alas, NYC, and many others, are now ruled by liberals, and as they are happy to announce on a regular basis, they think history is a racist concept, just like America, so nothing can be learned from the past.
The Cancer That Is Government

My friend Rob had not been seen in months when he showed up at a running event, so I naturally inquired about what had been going on in his life. He proceeded to give me a detailed account of his travails with the state while trying to get unemployment benefits after losing his job due to a COVID CMD REJECTED. After nearly six months, he had yet to receive a dime of his unemployment benefits and was in tough financial straits.
Cemeteries and Systemic Racism
Ned Claybrook 4/22/2021 2:35 PM
Against my better judgment, I watched a CBS Sunday Morning story with my wife. It started off as a heart tugging human relations piece about a black cemetery’s headstones that all ended up being used as scrap to help stop riverbank erosion, coupled with the quest by certain historians and family members to locate those headstones and track down the bodies that went with them.
