American What's In A Name: By Citizen Writer, Ted Agens

Modern American problems. For a large and growing group of Americans who find themselves without a political home in either the GOP, Democratic or Libertarian Parties- the problem is finding a name that other Americans can identify with and recognize.

American A Good Dose of Mimi by Citizen Writer, Alma Womack
American Citizen 6/20/2021 11:51 AM
Summertime was the most wonderful time when we were children, for we were truly free for the three months of vacation from school.

American Yesterday's Nazis and Today's National Socialist Left, by Citizen Writer, Jack Rail
American Citizen 6/18/2021 11:48 AM
The word "Nazi" keeps coming up, mostly from the Alt-Left but occasionally from the Alt-Right as the two verbally smear each other in hopes that something ugly will stick. The back-and-forth use of the term warrants clarification: which is right, or at least more right than the other? Is either really Nazi, or is this all just a nasty name game? And does it matter?

American Unbiased and Nonpolitical by Citizen Writer, Jack Rail
American Citizen 6/14/2021 4:56 PM
I once had a conversation online with a guy who thought the New York Times an honest newspaper, completely unbiased and nonpolitical, especially its front page. Well. My reply is that the NYT is very much biased and has been since at least 1991, as I know from firsthand experience.

American Smeddum: By Citizen Writer, Alma Womack
American Citizen 6/12/2021 2:08 PM
Old words and phrases handed down from our ancestors are dear to my heart. I couldn't talk if I had to give up “reckon” and “figure” and “fixin' to” to explain what I'm about to do. All my young life I had heard about “bob war” and “bar pits,” but was in upper elementary school before I realized that people were talking about barbed wire and barrow pits.

American Awake Since 2008: By Citizen Writer, Alma Womack
American Citizen 6/10/2021 1:57 PM
At least three times a week I will get an article from someone telling me to “Wake Up!” to the rapid decline of the United States of America, from a Constitutional Republic to a communist government. Well, I have been awake since 2008 when the communist Obama declared to the nation, three days before his inauguration, that “We are three days from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.”

American Our Music, Ourselves: By Citizen Writer Richard Jack Rail
American Citizen 6/9/2021 10:50 AM
Rock stars of the Sixties keep dying and doing it so often that it can’t be ignored. Gets me to wondering when Paul McCartney or Ringo Starr is gonna kick off. They're both older'n I am, and if there's any justice in the world they'll go before I do.

American Once Upon a Time, By Citizen Writer, Alma Womack
American Citizen 6/8/2021 2:27 PM
Good governors, like Ron DeSantis of Florida, who are leading their states to have a normal life again, are vilified by the rest of the media in the nation; people who stand up for America and the Constitution are routinely lied about while those set out to destroy America are considered Woke.

American Barbeque and Fond Memories by Citizen Writer, Alma Womack
American Citizen 6/6/2021 11:55 AM
Our sense of smell can trigger memories long hidden, and take us back to times long gone by. Smelling the blooms of a certain shrub puts me in the first-grade classroom of Mrs. Frances Taliaferro, Block Elementary School, when I was a perpetually unhappy first grader, being stuck in a classroom while my little brothers were roaming free at home.

American A Mother In Mourning by Citizen Writer, Silas Dogood
American Citizen 6/4/2021 2:06 PM
The Democrat party, well known as the party lacking in morals, interest in civil rights, and the rule of law, has achieved a new and disgusting low. They are using a mother in mourning for her son as a tool to promote Democrat party politics.

American A Nobel Prize for Trump? By Citizen Writer, Richard Jack Rail
American Citizen 6/4/2021 12:44 PM
It's a bit amazing that we hear nothing at all about Trump's astonishing successes in Korea and the Middle East. It takes no effort to remember that four years ago Kim Jong un was scaring the world by shooting rockets over Japan, exploding nukes underground and acting all belligerent. Confrontation was his game, and everybody was wary and worried.

American Stuck in the Middle: By Citizen Writer, Richard Edward Tracy
American Citizen 6/1/2021 2:49 PM
The governor says it’s okay to show my face now; but he is a former ice cream store owner/operator, so I am not sure he really gets anything other than trying to look and act conservative in a state that is quickly turning purple. (Another guy born with his finger in the air, under the sign of the God Janus.)

American Thoughts on Upgrading the American Criminal Justice System: By Citizen Writer, Ted Agens
American Citizen 6/1/2021 1:43 PM
Editor’s Note: This is the first in a 3-part series on Criminal Justice Reform. Ted Agens, one of our Citizen Writers has put forth an interesting set of ideas to get politics out of the Justice System. As part of our effort to foster sincere discussion on critical issues, I challenged two of our feature writers to respond to Agens’ article. The intent is not to conduct a “beat down,” but rather to foster robust debate leading to actual solutions. Ed.

American Just Like That: By Citizen Writer, Alma Womack
American Citizen 6/1/2021 12:22 PM
Last year, about this time, I wrote that as Forrest Gump would say, “And just like that, nobody was worried about the corona virus anymore.” Something had pushed it off the fake news media, twenty four hours a day. Something was protests and riots and the destruction of small businesses and the disruption of daily life for millions, and the killing of police and innocent people.

American The New Satanists: By Citizen Writer, Silas Dogood
American Citizen 5/29/2021 11:50 AM
Recently NPR published a story examining how the Q-ANON conspiracy theorists are now the new Satanists. In so doing, NPR is bringing back memories of the 1980s and the panic over 'Satanists' sacrificing animals and children to the devil. This fear culminated in the McMartin Pre-school trial, where two people were convicted and sent to jail based on the recovered memories of young children. It was later determined that these memories were false, planted by the psychologists interviewing the children.
